If your weekends have been feeling a little repetitive, this might be the one that breaks the streak.

Between night hikes, live music, and one very charming cat up for adoption, there’s no shortage of ways to mix things up. Knoxville always seems to hit its stride right as spring settles in. This week proves it!

There’s a reason the parking lot at Connors Steak & Seafood stays full. They have mastered that sweet spot between a high-end steakhouse and a reliable neighborhood haunt.

While the wood-fired Boursin Filet is the heavy hitter, the real ones know to start with the lobster dip or a velvety bowl of their potato soup.

With Easter Sunday on the horizon and graduation season right behind it, now is the time to snag a reservation. The service is refined, the drinks are cold, and the meal always feels like a celebration.

Just as spring break winds down, The Cutting Edge is heating up with workshops that quickly turn into a culinary achievement.

Whether you are tucking into a French brunch or preparing festive doughnuts for the upcoming Easter weekend, the atmosphere under instructors stays light and social. It is a refreshing way to build confidence with professional techniques, especially since the team handles all the heavy prep and cleanup.

While April focuses on family decorating, the upcoming June sessions are already open for those looking to trade screen time for scratch-made pasta and real kitchen skills.

🏃 Ready, Set, Knoxville: How to Catch the Big Race

The Gist: Our streets are about to get a whole lot busier as the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon returns on Sunday, April 12. Starting at 7:30 a.m., thousands of runners will take off for the full marathon, half-marathon, and relay races. It’s a huge deal for our local economy, too, typically pumping about $2.7 million into our city in just one weekend.

Why It Matters: Whether you’re watching the elite runners or the final finishers, it’s a morning full of grit and local pride that truly shows off the spirit of our town. It’s worth keeping an eye on the coverage just to see the sea of friendly faces making their way through our beautiful neighborhoods!

🐾 Meet Smug, an eight-month-old Domestic Shorthair

With a spirit that has truly blossomed and weighing in at a petite six pounds, this curious girl is a master of the laser pointer and feather wand.

While she was initially quite shy, she has discovered the joy of a good chin scratch and will even offer a soft purr or a belly roll when she feels truly at home. She would do best in a patient household ready to help her continue her brave journey.

Her gentle nature suggests she would appreciate a calm environment. Her adoption fee is handled through our local shelter system.
