The Gist: Three new horses have joined the Knoxville Police Department’s Mounted Patrol, and neighbors are being asked to help give them names. The Downtown Knoxville Alliance purchased the horses to boost patrols downtown, in the Old City, and at community events.

🏈 Neyland Stadium Game Day Changes

The Gist: Fans heading to Tennessee’s first home game Sept. 6 will notice a few updates. Neyland Stadium is now fully cashless, so bring cards or mobile pay. The Pride of the Southland Band will march down Peyton Manning Pass, where “Salute to the Hill” will now take place. Phillip Fulmer Way and Peyton Manning Pass will close early on game days, and shuttle routes have been adjusted.
